Residents are expected to actively participate in weekly seminars in gross, microscopic and clinical pathology and other specialty pathology rounds. The caseload includes a wide variety of domestic, wild and exotic animals, birds, and laboratory rodents submitted to Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and Cancer Center Comparative Pathology Shared Resource Laboratory. Residents have an option to specialize in food animal or experimental pathology after completion of the first year of training.
