The internship established by Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists is a multidisciplinary program that provides an environment conducive to the professional development of qualified individuals. The hospital is primarily a surgical, critical care and emergency practice located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Hospital accessions are patients requiring secondary and tertiary care admitted during regular hospital hours and through the 24 hour emergency and critical care service. The hospital serves the high-level medical and surgical needs of a six-county region.

Other duties: Ensures that HomeAgain and Intervet/SPAH brands consistently meet shelter needs. Researches and penetrates animal welfare channels with HomeAgain and other Intervet/SPAH brands, building strong relationships within this channel. Develops creative solutions for customers consistent with business plan objectives. Achieves consistent results and contributions to assigned accounts. Requirements: At least 2 years experience in business-to-business or relationship selling, such as pharmaceutical or business services/solutions; Bachelor’s degree or higher; The territory for this position is south of Orlando. Program Directors I and II two responsible for oversight of diploma programs with more than 250 students, will devote no less than 50% of their assignment to providing administrative oversight of the program and may be scheduled for a classroom assignment or academic oversight of externship students up for the remainder of their assignment.
U.S. Education programs, offered through Apollo College and Western Career College, prepare students for careers in healthcare through certificate, diploma and associate degree programs. The colleges provide career-focused, outcome-based, post secondary education and training.
The Program Director is expected to participate in college governance, committees, and task forces. Program Directors are expected to achieve positive outcomes for stated program and course objectives and learning outcomes. Other duties include Related Educational Requirements such as class preparation, attending educational, and campus meeting, and various functions and duties directly related to the program or the operations of the campus.
Minimum requirements: Must meet current requirements for faculty and/or administrative positions as listed on “Minimum qualifications” for the specific program. · Applicants can be graduates or currently enrolled students in an accredited registered veterinary technology program. Applicants must receive a negative TB test, have a current rabies vaccine, be able to work in extreme weather conditions, and be able to repeatedly lift at least 50 lbs.
· The internship runs from May through August. Applications, including a letter of intent, transcripts and three letters of recommendation must be received by March 15th. There are two positions available.
