The residency program is designed to provide training in ophthalmic medicine and surgery leading to ACVO board eligibility. The resident will work closely with ophthalmology faculty with the primary responsibility to provide patient care for ophthalmology patients and support the ophthalmology service. A veterinary technician also supports the service. The resident will also provide instruction to the professional students in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as it relates to their job responsibilities.
The resident will have primary case responsibility and will participate in didactic training, in daily topic and ward rounds and journal club with residents and the staff. The resident will be required to present and attend seminars and continuing education lectures, and to provide lectures. · Receive product inquiries/calls to Dechra that may arise from usage of Dechra products.
