The Senior Veterinary Technician manages all veterinary/research technical spaces including surgical sites, radiological facilities, treatment rooms, diagnostic laboratory and necropsies. Meets and plans with investigators on all aspects of veterinary technical support including budgets, personnel, supplies, and space; identifies and researches veterinary equipment needs. Prepares and submits bills for use of technical space, services, and supplies as provided to researchers. Ensures daily compliance with applicable laws and regulations and follows policies concerning the human care use of animals in research and teaching in the veterinary services branch of the division.
Bachelors degree or associates degree in biological or animal sciences required. Large animal surgery/anesthesia experience preferred.
