MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide general sanitization of equipment used for the maintenance of laboratory animals. 2. Provide husbandry for a variety of animal species. 3. Monitor and maintain the health status of the animals. 4. Operate industrial washing machines and prepare machines for start up and shut down according to standard operating procedures. 5. Maintain assigned work areas in compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations, AAALAC guidelines, and established standard operation procedures. Periodically, this may include general cleaning and maintenance of other animal support areas. 6. Participate in the movement and storage of feed and cage wash supplies. 7.
