KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:
- Travel will be required on a regular basis for one on one customer interactions to support the sales force, for technical presentations to the customer base and/or for technical support at national, state or local veterinary meetings. Travel commitment will average 75%, but may be higher at times due to new product introductions, etc.
- Phone technical support will entail a minor component of the position and case work relative to the customer support aspects of adverse events will be limited.
- Field veterinary staff will be integral in the technical support roll out of new products and their ongoing support. Field staff will also assist with product technical training, as deemed appropriate by the Companion Animal Training Manager.
- Each Veterinary Technical Consultant will have responsibilities associated with execution of the Academic Liaison Program with responsibilities at one or more School or College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Field veterinary staff will work closely with field sales organization to provide training and development of technical competence.
- Support the efforts of Sales and Marketing, as required, through travel with representatives and participation in launch teams, customer meetings and veterinary meetings, as assigned.
- Provide technical support for all products via telephone, direct customer interaction and through presentations to professional and pet owner audiences
- Assist with and support all pertinent training programs for new technical consultant veterinarians, veterinary technicians and customer support personnel within the company, as well as for the sales force and the contract call center
- Assist, as assigned, with the coordination and execution of the Post Approval Studies to address critical data needs
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Academic Liaison Program at assigned veterinary colleges or schools
- Assist in identification of key specialty veterinarians and develop technical working relationships with them
