The successful candidate will be supported by strong doctor/owners, a bookkeeper, and an experienced group of middle managers. The successful candidate should have a strong history of management in a healthcare, service, or retail environment. Prior veterinary experience is a plus, but not required. Primary skill sets required include the ability to perform all human resource management functions necessary to lead a staff of approximately 100 team members. This includes establishing standards for staff recruiting, selection, scheduling, training program development, performance management, compensation, coaching, counseling and discharge. The successful candidate should have the interpersonal skills required to resolve employee performance, discipline and grievance concerns in a fair and consistent manner, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members with a broad range of education and experience.
