Within the Global Marketing and Planning Group for Companion Animals for Elanco Animal Health, the purpose of the position is to serve as a field based technical anchor for the Technical, Academic, and Consumer Services (TACS) group and support all pre-launch and launch activities deemed appropriate for the department. Travel will be required on a regular basis for one on one customer interactions to support the sales force, for technical presentations to the customer base and/or for technical support at national, state or local veterinary meetings.

Qualifications: Veterinary Technician Certification or 3 or more years as a Veterinary Technician is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills and independent thinking are required.
The candidate will act as the customer advocate and gain insightful knowledge of customer needs following through reliably to address those needs and as the voice of the customer, bring information back to product management for future enhancements. This individual will investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, train customers on the effective use of IDEXX products and recommend methods to improve workflow.
The Field Technical Support Representative provides on-site technical support for the family of IDEXX VetLab® instruments (Catalyst DX®, LaserCyte®, VetLyte®, VetStat®, VetTest®, SnapShot DX and the IDEXX Vetlab Station®) working closely with Veterinary Technicians to ensure optimal instrument use and performance.
