Job Description: The incumbent is expected to sit on scientific boards, PAC, project teams, advisory committees and may be asked to function as project team representative for SP&A. The incumbent is responsible for generating and evaluating pathology data for assigned studies and accomplishes this through direct/indirect supervision of individuals assigned to studies. The incumbent is responsible for making recommendations toward the development of an annual budget and may be asked to provide input towards hiring and other evaluations which may affect the budget of the subdivision. The incumbent is expected to participate in the study design and in the evaluation and implementation of new procedures to improve the operations.
A current knowledge of recent advances and new equipment/procedures is important to achieve optimum results. May be assigned to projects with more complex design and/or those requiring the most advanced interpretive experience and knowledge. The incumbent may be assigned to monitor and review pathology procedures and data during the performance of studies by outside contractors. Performs other duties as assigned by the management. At the conclusion of the study, the incumbent is expected to participate in the data review/analyses and determine target organ toxicity.
Requirements: Ability to interpret toxicologic pathology results and write reports and scientific manuscripts. DVM/MD degree (or equivalent) with graduate training in pathology plus 10 years experience in toxicologic pathology, or PhD in veterinary pathology plus 5 years experience in toxicologic pathology. Ability to supervise other personnel, when necessary. Board certification in related fields is preferred.

Work is reviewed by senior level staff to ensure conformance to experimental and therapeutic protocols. Strict adherence to safety protocols is necessary and personal protective equipment may be required. Work shall be checked periodically for application of proper techniques. Job Description:
· Receive product inquiries/calls to Dechra that may arise from usage of Dechra products. Calls may come from veterinarians, veterinary technicians, pet owners, distributor personnel or Dechra personnel. Calls may involve product information, use, product complaints, adverse events, unexpected responses to treatment, perceived lack of efficacy, and product or package defects.
