Mixed practice in central North Carolina seeks additional full-time doctor. Our practice is truly a mixed practice serving equine, dairy, small ruminant and beef clients in addition to a busy small animal practice serving a varied clientele. Equine experience is a plus for this position but not crucial as our goal is for each doctor to feel comfortable helping any of our patients but have the time and resources to excel in whichever area of practice most interests them. Within the Global Marketing and Planning Group for Companion Animals for Elanco Animal Health, the purpose of the position is to serve as a field based technical anchor for the Technical, Academic, and Consumer Services (TACS) group and support all pre-launch and launch activities deemed appropriate for the department. The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, at Oklahoma State University, has an opening for a resident in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in diagnostic clinical pathology. Our program has 3 board certified clinical pathologists and 2 clinical pathology residents. The successful candidate will receive training in all fields of Clinical Pathology including hematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and histopathology. Residents participate in clinical service, regularly scheduled rounds, small group teaching of DVM students and departmental seminars in conjunction with anatomic pathologists and residents. In addition, residents spend 2-3 months per year training at a commercial diagnostic laboratory where they can gain access to a tremendous amount and variety of case material.
This is a 3-year program designed to prepare candidates for a career in diagnostic Veterinary Clinical Pathology and obtain board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. The starting salary for this position is $27,228 per year with benefits including health insurance. The starting date is July 1, 2009.
