Veterinarians who successfully complete all requirements for Diplomate status in an ABVS-recognized veterinary specialty organization may qualify for the GS-13 grade level. The Veterinary Services hospital interns function in two roles, one is as the primary wildlife case contact, the other is as assistant to the veterinary technicians. This internship is designed to give students experience in a veterinary hospital setting where they will have the opportunity to provide patient care, keep accurate records and develop relationships with our staff of keepers, technicians and veterinarians. The wildlife intern is responsible for receiving all wildlife cases that come to the veterinary hospital from Walt Disney World property.
