IDEXX Laboratories is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician with histology experience to join the IDEXX team. The candidates are willing to perform veterinary diagnostic laboratory tests as directed. Grossing experience preferred but will train.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Read, understand, and follow applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs); Have knowledge of routine laboratory equipment and procedure; Run laboratory assays and analysis; Prepare specimens for routine laboratory assays; Trouble shooting and problem resolution; Accurately enter assay results into client reports; Ensure client turnaround times (TATs) are met; Ability to be proficient in multiple benches and complex testing; Fill all reagents needed and document quality control information for equipment used; Perform maintenance procedures as directed; Document and report problems to supervisor; Prepare equipment for next shift; Enter and track client sample and result information; Clean and stock supplies in work area; Understand and follow IDEXX laboratory safety procedures; Perform minor machine maintenance procedures as directed; Ability to develop proficiencies in multiple benches and areas of laboratory; Basic understanding and following concepts of LEAN and 5S.

Requirements: Minimum 2 years laboratory experience and/or education preferred; Vet tech, MLT or college degree in science preferred; Data entry skills preferred; Good oral and written communication skills; Knowledge of GCP guidelines as appropriate. Apply Online
