Pender Veterinary Centre is looking for Veterinary Technicians with proven skills to work in busy emergency department. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an emergency practice. Their practice includes a dedicated 3-doctor exotic department, a 20-doctor small animal practice, and a 24-hour emergency practice located in the same building. Qualified candidates will possess excellent technical skills and excellent people skills, and will have a proven record in handling difficult situations and making client service a priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

assisting in medical or surgical procedures, helping the doctor treat patients; taking and processing all radiographs, performing clinical laboratory procedures, handling multiple phone lines, admitting and discharging patients on the doctor’s orders, assisting clients through the appointment process; well knowledge about modern surgical suites, digital radiography, laser procedures, endoscopy, ultrasonography, and arthroscopy equipment and a full-service in-house laboratory.
