Elanco Animal Health is concerned about providing unique experiences for veterinary or graduate students who are interested in this industry as a career opportunity. The purpose of the internship is to provide students with the opportunity to conduct a research project from the conception of the idea to the completion of a final report summarizing the research. Thus, we have created a 12-week summer internship program (May to August) with a stipend for students to explore research in animal health. Students will gain experience in areas that may include, but not be limited to: quality and regulatory expectations, study protocol design, literature research, data interpretation and presentation, good experimental technique and documentation, model development.
Interns are provided with a competitive salary, housing opportunities, and relocation assistance. From this experience, students are expected to report their findings in a short oral presentation at the end of their internship.
Requirements: Research experience and/or work experience with food or companion animals, 3.0+ GPA in DVM studies, Currently enrolled as a 1st or 2nd year vet student in an accredited veterinary college OR as a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science; Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
