DVM degree (or equivalent) with board certification in Pathology (e.g. ACVP), graduate training in pathology, or PhD in veterinary pathology . Board certification in related fields is an asset (e.g. DABT). Supervisory experience and ability to interpret pathology results and write reports and scientific manuscripts.

This position has complete accountability for the anatomic pathologists within the department of Pathology, Preclinical Safety at East Hanover, NJ. The incumbent is accountable for establishing and meeting anatomic pathology objectives and target dates, coordinating studies with other departments, and acting as consultant to other departments requiring pathology expertise. The incumbent is accountable for generating, evaluating, and interpreting pathologic assessments and other specific data necessary for the development of drugs and for the existing products as the need arises.

Supervision of the Pathology Peer Review on all internal and contracted studies is an important aspect of this job. The Head of Pathologists manages and leads the pathologist group and ensures the appropriate development of the team members . The incumbent will also be a member of the Global Pathology leadership team, and will provide strategic input and expertise to this group. Apply
