Assistant Professor in University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH

The primary responsibilities for this full-time 10-month, tenure track position is to fulfill duties as the Assistant Director of the program and also serve as the academic advisor for all veterinary technology students in the college, including potential students seeking information about the program. Other responsibilities to include teaching a full-time course load (15-18 didactic and laboratory contact hrs per week, including off-site facilities), provide animal health care needs including routine surgical procedures and dentistry, manage and participate in off-site clinical experiences with students, maintenance of the program’s waiting list including written contact with students about their status on the waiting list and acceptance into the program, college committee work as required for reappointment and tenure process, and additional responsibilities as assigned.


Min. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited College of Veterinary Medicine and be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio. A min. of 5 yrs. of clinical exp. is required and must have experience in the areas of clinical diagnostic medicine, anesthesia, dentistry and routine surgical procedures. Previous teaching experience a plus.
