Responsible for providing adequate husbandry and veterinary care. Responsible for animal facility cleanliness and maintenance as well as provide technical support to investigators and their staff. Responsible for feeding, watering and providing veterinary care to animals in rooms as assigned. General facility upkeep. Operate cage washers and autoclaves. Maintenance of accurate documentation of work completed and animal related observations. Weekend and holiday work is required on a rotating schedule.
Requires AS/BS or equivalent in a scientific field with 0-2 years previous laboratory animal or veterinary experience or HS diploma plus 2-4 years experience working with laboratory animals. AALAS certification at ALAT level preferred but not required.
