Veterinary Technician Jobs, Shepherd Veterinary Clinic, ?Boxborough

Shepherd Veterinary Clinic is an equivalent 3 doctor exclusive small animal practice including medical treatment of canine, feline and rodents.?  We have been serving the community for 16 years and are located in close proximity of Rt.? 495 and Rt.? 2 on the Harvard/?Boxborough town line.?  For our active patients we also offer kennel services, technician appointments for follow-up vaccines, nail trims and client education, as well as vaccine clinics twice per month offering Rabies vaccines for public health to non-active patients in the community.

Staffing include veterinary Receptionists, veterinary Technician Assistants and veterinary Technicians to assist the doctor on-duty for appointments and surgery.?  Appointment time are blocks of 20-minutes and are scheduled 6 days per week.?  Surgery is schedule 3 days per week.

Seeking individual motivated by quality patient care to assist the doctor in the exam room and surgery.?  Exam room skills include but are not limited to obtaining brief history, temperature, verification of on-going medication requests, any client/?patient special needs, restraint, invoicing and estimates, dispensing medications.?  Surgery support includes but is not limited to surgery preparation of equipment and monitors, administration of pre and post op medication based on doctor request, intubation, catheterization, perform routine dental cleaning, patient anesthesia monitoring, post operative care.?  Support for our board certified surgeon when necessary.

Compensation based on education and experience: must have animal handling experience in a clinic situation.?  Hours include 2 evenings 4:30pm-Close, Thursday and Friday 8am-close and Saturday Rotation (no more than every other) 7:30am-1:30pm based on client needs.? Apply
